CMS CAMERON MCKENNA NABARRO OLSWANG LLP SCP is looking for: Associate for the Corporate and M&A Practice Group (2-4 years definitive/qualified lawyer).


Skills/Experience required

-    2-4 years' post-qualification experience in a reputable business law firm, with a strong focus on Corporate/M&A matters. 
-    Solid experience in legal due diligence exercises, corporate reorganizations, incorporations, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate advisory work. 
-    Proven experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating transaction documents (including SPAs, SHAs, investment agreements and ancillary transaction documents). 
-    Ability to independently manage substantial workstreams within domestic and cross-border transactions and effectively coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams. 

-    Experience with merger control, competition law and foreign direct investment (FDI) filings, including interaction with the Romanian Competition Council, would be considered a strong advantage. 
-    Strong commercial awareness and a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach. 
-    Very good legal drafting, analytical and legal reasoning skills. 
-    Strong research, organizational and project management skills. 
-    Ability to prioritize competing demands and work effectively under tight deadlines. 
-    Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. 
-    Very good written and verbal communication skills in both Romanian and English.

Education / Professional Qualifications

- Law degree from a reputable law school.
- An LLM or other international academic qualification would be a plus (but not mandatory).
- Very good command of English, including strong legal drafting and communication skills
