Schoenherr advises founders of Purcari Wineries in voluntary takeover bid by Maspex

Schoenherr advised the founders of Purcari Wineries on the voluntary takeover bid for the company's shares, which was successfully closed by Maspex Romania through the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Following the anticipated completion of the subscription procedures for more than 71 % of the shares, the settlement of the shares and the fulfilment of regulatory approvals, Maspex Romania will hold a controlling position in Purcari Wineries.

Schoenherr advised on capital market aspects of the project, including transaction structuring, review of the transaction documentation for the voluntary takeover bid, as well as the drafting and negotiating of agreements between the parties.

Purcari Wineries Group is one of the leading wine and brandy producers in Central and Eastern Europe.
